How learning pathways work
A learning pathway puts the courses one role needs in a sensible order. The learner starts with the first course and works through to the last, and their manager can see how far each person has got.
Each pathway opens with the basics, so later courses can build on what earlier ones covered. Progress saves as you go: a learner can stop after one module and pick up on another day, on a phone, tablet or computer.
Every course in the pathway ends with its own assessment and certificate, so evidence of training builds up course by course rather than arriving in one go at the end.
You can also take the courses in a pathway one at a time. Someone who has already covered part of it can take only the courses they still need.
For care providers, a pathway sets the same training for everyone in a role, such as new starters on induction, and shows who has finished.
