Care Certificate (16 Standards)

Care Certificate (16 Standards)

The Care Certificate is the induction every new care worker in England is expected to complete in their first twelve weeks, and it is what a CQC inspector asks about when checking how your service brings new staff in. This pathway covers all sixteen standards of the Skills for Care Care Certificate (March 2025 edition), one course per standard, from understanding your role on day one to the newest standard on learning disability and autism. You will learn what your duty of care asks of you when a person's wishes and their safety pull in different directions, how to spot and report abuse, how to keep records that protect the people you support, and how to work in a way that keeps their dignity and choices intact when the shift is busy and nobody is watching. Each course runs as one continuous story, so you follow the same people and the same team from the first standard to the last. The pathway gives you the knowledge element of all sixteen standards; your employer assesses the practical skills in your own workplace, as the Care Certificate requires.

Training you can trust

How this pathway works. You work through the courses in order, at your own pace, and each one ends with a short assessment. Every course you pass gives you a CPD-certified certificate straight away, and finishing all 5 earns the pathway certificate on top.

The pathway certificate does not expire.

Accredited by CPD

All of our courses are accredited by the CPD Certification Service as conforming to universally accepted Continuing Professional Development (CPD) guidelines.
